First off, BIG thanks to our new friends in London! Nick, Keith, Super Ted, John, D-Face, Duncan, Kate, Lucy, Sarah, Boo, Massi, Mathilde and SPECIAL THNXS to Ian and Helen who were so kind to take care of the Dutchies during our stay in London. We stayed in their appartement during our stay and we were treated on proper English breakfasts every morning and had so much fun with them during our stay! THANKS!

I met John and Saskia at Central Station Rotterdam around 7.45 to get in the 07.55 train to Bruxelles where we had to change trains to London.
My bike was already taken apart and when I met John and Saskia, they were taking their bikes apart to put them in their DIY bicycle bags.

Off we went on our London trip!

DAY 1

We had to wait for an hour and a half at Bruxelles station before our train to London left. Once checked in, you can’t go outside or basically anywhere anymore. So we were stuck in there waiting for an hour and a half. In the end time went pretty quick and before we knew we were in the train which brought us to London.

Once arrived Ian picked us up at St. Pancras station and we went into the bus and tube to go to his house. What a bustrip that was, holy crap! Drivers drive like madmen in their busses! Got out of the bus and walked to  Ian’s place where we’ve put our bikes together and after chilling out for a bit we went for a small ride to the polo court.

We passed Tour de Ville on our way and went to see if they were still open…  It was…
Hella nice shop! Now we know where the Dutch gems all go
Very nice shop. Not too fully packed, but enough stuff to keep you around there for a while! Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet Jos.
We met some of his colleagues and I’m not sure anymore whether Nick or Keith was the one working at Tour de Ville…

On to the polo court…

The court was one hell of a nice court, surrounded by walls and nice steps on one side which gave it an arena feel to it.  I have seen the walls from very, very nearby by the way. I had to “Karate-Kick” myself one time from the brick wall to prevent ending up with a flat face and a few teeth less…  Polo in London is INTENSE!

After polo it was time to pick up “Big L” Lawrence  from St. Pancras. He was on a later train… I’m not too sure anymore about what we did after we picked  up Lawrence. I think we headed back to Ian and Helen’s place…
