So last saturday we were asked to come and “perform” at the IFFR at the Doelen, in Rotterdam.
They’ve contacted Frank if we would like to come ride inside “De Doelen” during the IFFR.
We’ve also had two new friends sleeping over from Copenhagen and Baltimore. (Hi Jakob and Stefanie!)
At first we were all like, uhm… and what does riding tricks have to do with the IFFR? But in the end we ended up with the complete Cutter Family at de Doelen.
It started good with us being treated like proper artists… Off course we were fashionably late.
When we arrived we received 2 envelopes… One with drink coupons (ENOUGH drink coupons). And the second one contained 2 passes.

We were like, passes, for what? Then the guy told us friendly: ” those are 2 keys to your backstage dressingrooms/chill-out rooms” ..
Hold up…. did he just say passes to your backstage dressingrooms/chill-out rooms? Yes he did!
We had 2 backstage rooms for the 10 of us with a fully filled minibar, live music streaming from the 2 or 3 area’s where either bands played or DJ’s were spinning records.
Elle Bandita and The Wolff had their rooms right next to us and I always find it funny to shout bullshit with Elle Bandita while being drunk so her being our neighbour was all good.
After checking out the rooms, we had to put in work. We rode for quite a while on maybe the best floor i’ve ever ridden on!
People were like: “Whatsup with those scruffy kids on bikes inside the congress building?” Some people got enthusiastic and tried our bikes for a bit… Especially the guy outside the venue was funny!
Wearing his suite and nice shoes, but still trying to ride and skid and bunnyhop…
After riding for an hour or 2 we went to our rooms to empty both fridges and open our friend James, who’s always on!
Time to check out the “party”… They had one room where bands played. We only got to see “The Wolff”… Fuck me.. those youngsters can PLAY. As if they were doing this for over 30 years already, except for the fact that the guy that was singing was only 17 years old I’ve been told… They played the tiles out of the floor…
The other part of the venue had to be entered by using the escalator to go down… that was kinda cool.
Off course the real party took place in our luxurious backstage rooms!
All in all the night turned out to be a very cool one! Definitely didn’t expect it to be like this…
Some pics!

I dunno.. ask Frank
He hooked us up…
